That as requested in a memorandum from the City Engineer, May 12th,
1977, a frontage exemption as permitted under Section 712 of the Municipal
Act be granted for a proposed subdivision of Parcel 2 (Explanatory Plan
13634), of Lot B of S% of Lot 4, Group 1, Township 39, Plan 5755, New
Westminster District, wherein the frontages of two of the lots to be
created are less than that required in the Subdivision of Land By-law,

but do comply with the City's policy relating to frontage exemptions.

That letters be written to the Vancouver Sun, the Province and The

Columbian newspapers advising that subsequent to a discussion concerning

the untidy conditions around their delivery boxes, the suggestion made

that these boxes be placed on the road allowance adjacent to the homes

of certain delivery boys, was approved. Withdrawn.

Prior to consideration of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Mabbett

suggested that the problem be discussed with the Circulation Managers of
tne newspaper companies involved at the May 24th, 1977 meeting of the
Public Works Committ<.:, and Alderman Ranger then agreed to withdraw his
motion pending the results thereof.
