MEMO TO:. Mayor & Aldermen May 9th, 1975 FROM: R.A. Freeman, City Clerk’ Re: Cedar Drive Park - Road Closures and Property Re~alignment Attached is a photostat of a City map section and the property enclosed in the heavy dark line is either owned by the City of Port Coquitlam or is a road allowance to which title could easily be obtained by the City. The larger portion of this property is, of course, in use as Cedar Drive Park. In looking toward the eventual reservation or dedication of this property as a park it became obvious that road closures would be required and different property boundaries established. The City Engineer has recommended that the final configuration of the property include a 14' road widening along Prairie Avenue, a 20' ditch widening along the existing Cedar Drive ditch, the extension of Fraser Avenue through to the ditch, and the ‘creation of a possible building site at the South end of the property. If the Council are in favour of proceeding with the road closures and property re-alignment suggested consideration could be given to the following resolution: "That the City Clerk be 4nstructed to have the necessary surveyor's plans, by-laws, and other documents prepared in order that the road closures and property re-alignment in the vicinity of the Cedar Drive Park mentioned in the City Clerk's memorandum of May 9th, 1975, may be finalized."
