Union Herring Fightback Committee is seeking support from aj} city and municipal councils in keeping our herring roe jobs in Canada. Thousands of shoreworker jobs will be lost if the herring is permitted to leave Canada unprocessed. Last year the herring season provided work Firrom February to June. The jobs saved will provide enough U.I. stamps, keep workers off welfare and keep the earnings in the community, This is a request to ask you to endorse a resolution that will] bring pressure on the provincial and federal governments in this matter.
