The City an: che Union hereby agree to extend the
terms of the original memorandum of agreement on the "Modified
Task System" dated January 12th, 1979 for one year fron
January Ist, 1930 to December 3ist, 1980.

It is also understood that this agreement will be
extended automatically on a yearly basis thereafter unless
either party requests that a new agreement be negotiated.

WHEREAS the city and the union both have an interest
in providing the public taxpayer with a good refuse collection
service at the lowest Possible cost.

- THEREFORE the undersigned acting on half of the city .
and the undersigned acting on behalf of the Union agree that

the current Collective Agreement. and any agreement sicned in

1979 be amended by the addition of this Memorandun of Agreement
as a schedule appended to and forming part of the said Collective
Agreement in the following terms: :

1... The tern of this Agreement shall run fron January
Ist, 2979 to December 3lst, 1979 both dates inclusive, and shall
terminate on the latter date unless expressly renewed by the
parties for a further term. eS

2. ALL of the provisions of the Collective Agreement
shall apply except as specifically varied by the terms cf this
