Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Wright: That as requested by the Boy Scouts of Canada, Port Coquitlam District, April 21st, 1980 permission be given to use the vacant City lot at Pitt River Road and Shaughnessy Street for the sale of Christmas trees for a period to be established in November until December 24th, 1980. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution Alderman Keryluk asked regarding a possible traffic problem in the area of the lot and Alderman Mabbett advised the Public Works Committee will look into it. From the Land Sales Committec, April 25th, 1980 recommending that a short portion of Donald Street between Elgin Avenue and Kingsway Avenue be closed to traffic leaving provision for the continuation of the Boy Scouts, Apr. 21/80 re Use of Vacant City Lot. Fin.Comn., Apr. 23/80 Stmt. of Accts. Land Sales Comm., Apr.25/80 re Donald St. existing lane and that the City retain the northerly portion from Kingsway Avenue to the lane and that the southerly portion from the lane to Elgin Avenue be offered for sale to the adjacent owner, for the construction of a comprehensive medical centre building at the rate of $9.00 per square foot, for approximately 7,900 square feet.
