That permission be granted to Bethel #41 of the International
Order of Jobs Daughters to sell raffle tickets in the location of
downtown Port Coquitlam and the Northside Shopping Centre on

December 16th and 17th, 1977 as requested in their letter December 12th,

1977.

Alderman Laking expressed concern over the draft letter from Mr.
Simmons Associate Deputy Minister of the Ministry of the Environment as
there had heen no specific changes except for the Farm buildings.
General discussion ensued with Alderman Traboulay suggesting that a
letter be written to Mr. Simmons pointing out that there was no provision
made for Industrial Holdings in the Floodplain or for a meeting to be

held with Senior Staff, Council and concerned residents of the area

previous to a public meeting, as was discussed during the meeting with

the Minister of the Environment in Victoria on October 25th, 1977.
