Cte ée ciree lated Monday) Further to this, a letter has been received fron the Port Coquitlam tMinor "ockev Association indicating that they are willing to relinquish their hours on those dates in February in the old arena. The Leisure Activities Committee would like to make the followine recommendations for consideration of Council: ‘ . 1. That the Port Coquitlam Figure Skating Club be permitted to use Arena I for the purpose of their carnival from 3:30 p.m. February 27th to 10:39 n.m. February 29th, 1976. 2. That the Figure Skating Club be billed for their Non~performance hours which amount to a total of 24 3/4 hours. 3. That they be given their performance times free of charge for a total of 12 1/2 hours. Normally the arena is given free of charge for provincial tournaments in lacrosse or any other svorts as well as for the winter carnival. 4. That the use of the Mabhett Room be denied due to the fact that recreation programs are in session during the day and a dance is booked for the evenins. 5. That thev nav the cost of removing and reinstalling the wire mesh in Arena I at a cost of $305.12 as ner attached memo. 6. That the City of Port Coquitlam operate an expanded concession with the City ‘staff for February 27th, 28th and 29th; 1976. “7, That the City of Port Coquitlam cancel their Public Skating session in Arena IT “on February 28th from 7:30 n.m. to 9:30 nem. to accomodate the Minor Hockey Association of Port Coquitlam. At this time the Minor Ilockev Association has organized an exhibition game with the Vancouver Canuck Oldtimers., 8. That the fisure skating club have their last nerformance on Saturday and finish before the exhibition hockey game. It should be noted that, due to the cancellation of nublic skating on Saturday night in Arena II and Sunday in Arena I, the Recreation Department will lose approximately $450.00 in revenue, however the Committee feels that this loss will be more than adequately made up with the expanded concession facilities. v Resneetful Co . _Tanna Taylor
