November 4th, 1974 A regular meeting af the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Aveaue, Port Coquitlam, B. C. on November 4th, 1974 at 7:30 p.m. Acting-Mayor Alderman M.A. Thompson, Aldermen J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, E.W. Mabbett, P.F. Ranger, and L.M. Traboulay in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer V.G. Borch, P. Eng., City Planner Lanson Lee, Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, Works & Utilities Superintendent G. Ulmer, and Mrs. B.M. Aalten. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on October 28th, 1974, be taken as read and adopted. Carried. The Acting-Mayor advised that Mr. Al Keenleyside, representing the Port Coquitlam Senior Citizens Housing Society at the meeting this evening had requested that the Society's request to exempt Hawthorne Lodge from taxes for the year 1975 be forwarded for consideration in Committee as there have been some changes in the financial situation, and the following motion was proposed: Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That Item 2 on the Agenda, being the request of the Port Coquitlam Senior Citizens Housing Society to exempt Hawthorne Lodge from taxes for the year 1975, be forwarded for consideration in Committee later this evening. Carried. CORRESPONDENCE & REPORTS FOR INFORMATION: From the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, September 10th and 25th, 1974, being the August and September, 1974 Municipal Policing Reports, respectively. The reports were received for information.
