ALCAN is taking another
key step towards an expan-
sion of its Kitimat alumi-
num smelter.

A feasibility team study-
ing expansion has recom-
mended the corporation take
the next step and prepare de-.
tailed engineering drawings
on the idea of a 160,000-
tonne smelter expansion. .

than we've been before on
this project,” Alcan corpor-
ate communications officer
