THE LEGION’s election of of- ficers for 1995 will take place at our general meeting, Tuesday Dec, 13 at 8 p.m. The nominating commitice came up with a slate of officers except for a second president, This has surprised quite a num- ber of our older members, who thought we had a number of younger members as directors who were looking forward to moving up the ladder, Un- fortunately, this docs not appear to be the case, as the nominating committee indicated they’d prob- lems filling the slale of officers. T am urging all members to at- tend the December meeting and to vote with care, and hopefully we can find a second vice- president. Legion Notes vice- - Remembrance Day was again well attended. Many thanks to those members who worked sa hard to make this special occa- sion a success. . Our members and guests en- joyed the activitiesand the Ladies Auxilliary again put on a relaxing evening dinner. The Remembrance Day Pocm, Posicr and Essay Contest brought forward 66 entrics from Thornhiil Secondary, Veritas, Caledonia, and Clarence Michiel Schools. All the winners have not been finalized yet, but I hope.to have them for tie December meeting. The winners will move on to the zone level.
