Organized by the local branch of that body, this is the first time the event has been held in the northwest. From today until Saturday, more than 50- speakers from around the province, across the country and the United States will address a wide range of topics, The sessions are open to local health care professionals for a $10 per lecture fee. The congress includes an exhibition fentur- ing medical produets and information. Much of the congress, ineluding the exhibition, is at the Inn of the West with some lectures scheduled for the Terrace Inn. Channel 10 volunteers reorganize — Evergreen Community Television is no more. , The community television society disbanded last week, but organizers hope ils volimiteers will continue fo work direetly with Channel 10. - . Maria McGowan, Channel 10 community coordinator, says two groups of volunteers evolved separately and will now be merged under one banner, “It’s just one big happy family with Chan- nel 10 now,”’ she said.
