When 1 think of barbequeing the picture that comes to mind is a juicy sizzling steak. But with the high beef prices my image af steak will have lo change. For this reason | would like to discuss the merits of Kabobs. Originally Kabobs were prepared by the nomads of the Middle East wien pieces of meat were threaded on a sword then cooked over the open fire. Today skewers have replaced the sword;. barbeques the open fire. Kabobs can be made with a variety of meat; weiners, lamb, pork, and beef all lend them- selves this cooking method. . The meal is cut inlo small pieces and. speared ‘on the’ skewer along with a variety of vegelables. By cutting the meal | and adding the vegetables you are extending the expensive protein.
