-2- Hazel Trembath and Citadel Middle School These schools are adjacent to City park site #5 in the Genstar subdivision, if approved, the City will pay to upgrade the fields to provide sprinklers on the two fields located between the schools. The School Board in anticipation of our agreement has already forwarded the field design to us for approval. The date to be inserted in section 4 would be June 1994, although construction is expected to be this fall. In addition, the School Board would give the City $300,000 for the development of land to the west and south of Hazel Trembath to be developed along with our adjacent park site in accordance with a jointly funded concept plan. Community involvement has started and will continue through the development of this concept plan. New Terry Fox High School The proposed agreement calls for the City to develop a track suitable for competitive games and the School Board will pay $850,000 towards the development of the same. The City has retained acknowledged experts in the development of track and fields throughout Canada (Arena Sports and Recreation Consultar.ts Ltd.) and their reports are attached. Also attached is a schedule (Riverwood School Site) which splits out the costs of the track facility and the City share is expected to be $942,000 of which $850,000 will be coming from the School Board, basically we will be paying for the equipment and the School Board for the facility. This new track will Le standard which would permit the hosting of the B.C. Summer Games at some future date. Hyde Creek Agreement There are changes proposed on the Hyde Creek agreement which will result in increased flexibility to provide programming in the pool during the day.
