January 9, 1989/0604 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Port Coquitlam Council write to the Premier to request the Provincial Government to substantially increase the unconditional grant component from 42% to 60% of the total Provincial Revenue Sharing Grant allocations; and FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the Honorable Elwood Veitch, Minister of State, Mainland South West and responsible for Regional Development be requested to bring forward the concerns of Port Coquitlam Council and also those expressed in the Greater Vancouver Regional District "Report on Real Property Taxation Issues in Greater Vancouver" to the Provincial Cabinet; and FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that a copy of the letter be sent to the Minister of Finance, the Honorable Mel Couvelier and the Minister of Municipal Affairs, the Honorable Rita Johnston asking them to specifically respond to the request; and FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that a copy of the letter also be sent to Mark Rose, M.L.A..
