Seconded by Alderman Gates:

That as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Committee Rezoning
Application, R#34--81, to rezone property addressed as 2340 Elgin Avenue
be approved;

That Rezoning Application, R#34-81, proceed to Public Information
Meeting; . |

That a new zone be created to permit development;

AND THAT the development be designated as a Development Permit

area.

Alderman Muldoon voted against the resolution.

Alderman Traboulay suggested that the Public Information meeting
advertisement area be enlarged and Mayor Laking agreed and requested
that a time for the Public Information Meeting be set. Alderman Muldoon
expressed her opposition to the proposed development and stated in her
opinion the proposed development is much too high.

1981 the City of Port Coquitlam support the request from the merchants
on Lougheed Meridian Road for a right turn only access directly from the
Highway.
