THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM - py-naw no. 1/93 A By-law to regulate the gross vehicle weight of vehicles upon Westwood Street WHEREAS Westwood Street is located in a residential area of the City of Port Coquitlam, and has been constructed in a standard which is deemed adequate for the needs of the City and the owners of the property within the City located adjacent thereto and served thereby; AND WHEREAS it is deemed necessary for the pretection of Westwood Street and for. the convenience and well-being of the residents living adjacent thereto, to regulate the gross vehicle weight of vehicles which may be driven, used or operated on the same; THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam in open meeting assembled, and in pursuance of the powers vested in it by the Motor Vehicle +t, being Chapter 253, R.S.B.C., 1960, as amended, ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: i. For the purpose of this By-law: "City Engineer" means the City Engineer of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam duly appointed as such by the Municipal Council. . "Vehicle" shall have the meaning assigned to it by the "Motor Vehicle Act". 2. No person shall drive, use or operate any vehicle having a gross vehicle weight of 10,000 lbs. or greater upon Westwood Street, PROVIDED HOWEVER: (1) that this restriction shall not apply to any such vehicle between the hours of 6:00 A.M. and 10:00 P.M., on the days Monday to Friday inclusive, of each week;
