Have you dropped by your Spring Gallery Shop yet? It is quite a charming place to browse and shop = the actual space is about B00 sq.ft., glassed in on three sides and freshly re-decorated (as is the whole interior of Le Magasin). Hire has done an excellent job on the display and we are offering a wide variety of fine stoneware, earthenware and porcelain pleces for sale in the price range of $4.50-$190.00. The membership has been co- operative about giving time to assist in staffing the shop and if any of you could help who haven't already been con- tacted, we could use more volunteers for 4-hour mid-day shifts any day of the week, including Sundays (parking is paid for). Elizabeth Reynolds (922-1453) has done a marvelous job arranging for the staff in the shop, so if you have any time to give, please call her. It is a most pleasant way to spend four hours! So far sales haven't been too brisk, so we cam use all the advertising we can get. Pass the word along to friends and mg ay There is a phone at The Spring Gallery Shop - 689-5474 LETTERS Dear Guild Members: ; I have begun to compile a monograph on Axel Ebring, the old Vernon potter. It will consist of photographs of his work and reminiscences of visits to his studio in the 1930s and 1940s. IT am interested in hearing from people who have Ebring pots - usually marked on the bottom with "Noteh Hill, B.C." or "Vernon, B.C." - and people who met him. So if you would like to participate in this ; project, please drop me a line at 1620 Johnston, Granville Island, Vancouver. . Thank you = Bob Kingsmill.
