Alderman Traboulay noted that no progress report has been submitted
on the new North Side Fire Hall, and the City Engineer advised that
progress has been quite good since the initial delay during December and
Jawary; however, he stated he would be supplying more detail to Council
next week. Alderman Traboulay then congratulated the Fire Department on
the safe delivery of a baby in the inhalator while transporting the mother

to hospital.

“Feb. /76 Report— From the Senior Building Inspector, being the report of building

; permits issued during the month of February, 1976. Alderman Keryluk

noted that so far this year there appears to be an increase of about

300% in building over the same period in 1975.

referred to Item No. 3 in the "Remarks" section of the report wherein it

was stated that 49 'in field' business licences were issued, and to his
query, the City Administrator advised that the majority of these would
probably be for contractors of various types and sales people. Alderman
Traboulay noted that under the "Property Damage" section of the report,

City Signs were listed, and to his observation that the season was now

approaching when more destruction of Cif.y signs occurs, the Works &
Utilities Superintendent agreed. Alderman Traboulay inquired as to the
cost of the new street signs being installed that show the number of the

block, and the City Engineer advised it is about $50.00 or $60.00 per

3 Feb. /76 Report— From the British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to
; SPA Animals, March 3rd, 1976, being the February, 1976 service report of the
Pound Operation. licences for their pets. Alderman Traboulay urged that
those who have not already done so, obtain licences for their pets.
Alderman Traboulay also mentioned that Mr. Jack Homes, Secretary-Manager
of the S.P.C.A., would be in attendance at a meeting of the S.P.C.A.
tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. in the City Hall to discuss costs and service,
etc., and he advised that this meeting would be open to the public.
