Prior to. the question being called on the foregoing resolution a discussion ensued, and Alderman Laking stated his view that as a taxpayer, Mr, ‘Hamilton has the right to the information he requested, and that the report received fram the Auditors should be made available to him. Albrman Thompson Stated he agreed with the comments. made by Alderman Laking. Alderman Mever stated that although he agreed with the views expressed by Alderman Laking, he was a bit confused that the letter received from Mr. Hamilton was on the Chamber of Commerce Letterhead and Signed over his title as an official of that organization, and that he would be in- terested to learn if this request was from. the Chamber or from Mr. Hamilton asa private citizen.
