Moved by Councillor Thompson: That Council approve in principle the concept of a Northeast Sector Emergency Program as outlined in the report attached to Council Agenda, subject to the following: Further review of the proposed emergency program and budget and implementation schedule by the Intermunicipal Liaison Committee with the objective of reducing startup costs during the first few years, Approval of the final budget for the proposed emergency program will follow the City’s annual budget approval process. Priority be given to the development and implementation of the City’s own emergency plan. That both reports be referred to the City’s Protective Services Committee for further review and report. Moved by Councillor Keryh Seconded by Councillor Gordon: That Council direct the City Clerk to prepare an amendment to the City Traffic Control Bylaw No. 1117 to include a "No Parking Anytimne" designation on the east side of Coast Meridian Road from Westminster Avenue to 20 metres north of Birchland Avenue.
