Re: Continuation of Indemnity Payment -~ Alderman Keryluk

At the Council Meeting of March 9th, 198] Alderman Gates raised
the question of continuation of payment of Alderman Keryluk's
indemnity while he is absent from Council meetings for medical
reasons. ;

If Council wish the indemnity payments to continue, consideration
should be given to Passage of the following resolution:

"That notwithstanding the absence of Alderman Keryluk from more
than three consecutive regular Council meetings the City Treasurer
be instructed to continue regular indemnity Payments to him;

AND THAT the provisions of Section 4 of the 'Council Indemnity
By-law, 1981, No. 1824' are hereby waived."

Passage of the above resoltion will require an affirmative vote
all Council members, except Alderman Keryluk.
