. COUNCIL NOV 26 1979 Mayor and Council November 22nd, 1979 L.D. Pollock City Administrator Re: Dyke Right-of-Way Near Pitt River Bridge -The Department of Highways has asked us to convey to them a smal}. portion of the dyke right-of~way which lies adjacent to the Pitt River Bridge. A small sketch is attached showing the location of. this portion. . , The Engineer has reviewed this location and it would appear that the entire piece of dyke right-of-way lies underneath the highway and he highway is at such a level that it completes the dyke system at this point. The Department of Highways have agreed to take full responsibility and maintain this portion as though it was part of the dyke system. The Ministry has provided us with their standard property negotie+ion form offering $1.00 nominal amount for the 1.24 acres that are involved. As the City recently acquired all of the dyke right-of-way by a similar arrangement from the Province as part of our dyke takeover, it would be appropriate to convey this small portion back for $1.00. If Council concurs, we will conclude the necessary legal work to convey this . portion.to the Crown. ee “L. D. Pollock
