Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the report from the Finance Committee, dated October 26th, 1977 being a Statement of Accounts Payable in the amount of $181,382.48 be approved. Carried. Alderman Laking introduced the subject of putting signs up in the residential area around Warwick, Brown, Langan to notify new residents there is an induetrial area nearby and there could be increased noise levels. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That as requested by Alderman Laking in the memorandum from the City Clerk, October 26th, 1977 signs be posted in the residential area around Warwick, Brown, Langan to notify new residents there is an industrial area nearby and there could be increased noise levels. Carried. From the Public Works Committee, October 26th, 1977 recommending the Chester~Shaughnessy Intersection be monitored during the next six months and that a further report to Council. be made in May 1978. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That the recommendation from the Public Works Committee, October 26th, 1977 recommending the Chester-Shaughnessy Intersection be monitored during the next six months and that a further report to Council be made in May 1978 be approved. Carried. Prior to passage cf the foregoing resolution Alderman Mabbett advised signs will be going up to warn people of the sharp right turn at the intersection. Mayor Campbell asked that an estimate be prepared to determine the cost of improvements to the road pattern and Alderman Mabbett advised that this would be done.
