1973 Council Conmittee meeting, at which time it was agreed that if f the
Di strict of Coquitian stiould be interested in discussing the pe possible, -
erection ofa fire hall on the city's North side site the Couned would he _
prepared to | discuss this matter “with then. Alderman Laking inquired
whether it was intended to include in the recommendation ‘that the city

pur sue the possibility of joint participation with the District ‘of
Coquitlam in providing fire protection service. for the. North side District

City area and Alderman ‘Thompson advised that it was.

That the recommendation of the Bud 1dj ing & Protection Committee “in its
report concerning future Fire halt sites dated March ath, 1973, “approved
at the April Znd, 1973 Council Committee meeting , that the site on the East.

side of the Coast Meridian Road-Lincola Avenue intersection be designated

as future fire hall, and that | a “site be purchased in the general immediate

area of the Legion iust East of Donald Street;
AND THAT the District of Cogattlas be approached with respect ‘to poss- :

ible joint participation in the erection of a fire hall and provision of

fire protection at the proposed 1 Nerth side site. . Carried.
