June 9th, 1980. A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on June 9th, 1980 at 7:30 p.m. Acting-Mayor Alderman M.R. Wright, Aldermen M.D. Gates, E.W. Mabbett, P.F. Ranger, and L.M. Traboulay in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, Deputy Fire Chief J.N. Boileau, City Planner L. Lee, Works & Utilities Superintendent G.W. Ulmer and Mrs. D.L. Vyse. ZONING PUBLIC HEARING: Acting~Mayor M.R. Wright advised the meeting the following proposed Zoning Public Hearing: By-law to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law, 1979, No. B/L 1759 ~ City of Pt.Coq. 1651" would now be considered, Zoning B/L, 1979, No. 1651, By-law No. 1759; Amend. B/L, 1980~- 3345 Cedar To remove the Zone Designation of RS-2 assigned to Parcel "B", (Explanatory Plan 11140) of Lot 1, NE“, Section 6, Township 40, Plan 5726, New Westminster District, and to assign the Zone Designation of RS-1 to the said property. The City Planner then explained the proposed rezoning stating that the property is located at 3345 Cedar Drive and is being rezoned in order to permit the subdivision thereof and it is expected that ten single family residential lots will be created following completion of the rezoning procedures. No one was present in opposition to the foregoing proposed Zoning By~law Amendment. The applicant was present and answered Alderman Traboulay's inquiries regarding removal of the present house and bridge across the Cedar Drive ditch by advising that the house and bridge would be removed. Alderman Gates asked for clarification regarding drainoge within the subdivision and the City Engineer advised each lot would be connected to the storm sewer. Alderman Traboulay expressed concern regarding the large trucks used during construction and asked the applicant to advise the truck drivers to enter off Cedar Drive and he agreed to do so. The Public Hearing adjourned at 7:38 p.m.
