TRAFFIC iten I Re: Bus Service - Port Coquitlam Council has received a letter dated July 19th, 1973 from V.J. Parker, Director of Transit, and a memorandum dated July 19th, 1973 from the City Engineer. The Committee makes the following recommendations: 1) The necessary amendments to the Traffic By-law be approved to establish Bus Stops in accordance with Drawing No. 211-28, 2) The load limit on the Red Bridge be ammended to exclude buses, 3) The expenditure of $4,000.00 be approved for the purpose of upgrading landing areas at the proposed bus stop locations to a minimum standard established by B.C. Hydro. B.C. Hydro have advised verbally that they will ~ be responsible for the installation and maintenance of bus stop signs. Item If Re: Post Office Traffic Problems The Committee has noticed that traffic problems are increasing because of the larger vehicles and larger number of vehicles being used by the Post Office. The problems reflect the increasing population of the City necessitating larger postal facility capability.
