Terrace scored the first goal of the game at 7:36 of the opening period, just 16 seconds after a Kitimat player was sent off with a misconduct. Rae Rowe took a pass from Jim Gustafson after Bob Peacock held the puck in at the point, Rae was only five feet out in front of the net and scored easily. Rick Lewis was given credit for the next tally, when a Kitimat defenceman tipped the puck into his own net, assists going to Marcel Tookenay and Darryl Dewynter. Larry Hackman and Dick Shinde got together and scored on one of their patented goals and the score was 3-0 for Terrace. ; Dewynier made it 4-0 with just over six minutes remaining in the period with a shot from the slot, Lewis and Peacock drawing assists. : Brad Letham was the first marksman in the second frame, Brad scored on a screened shot that the goalie never sav, assisted by Keith ‘Colwell and Reno Michaud who did a nice job of keeping the disc at the blueline. Jim Gustafson madeit 6-0, tipping in a_ shot from the pom by Bob Peacock, tham had passed the puck out from the corner. Terrace had Kitimat hemmed in their own end of the rink fer almost a minute, and eventually put the puck in the net, Reno Michaud on a pass from Dale Kushner. , | - - Killmat made the core qe 1 on 4 nice passing play, for the last goal of the second. The third period was less than five minutes old when Terrace added to their total. Bob Peacock Playing an outstanding game fired the uck home on a rebound rom Bob Cooper's shot, this made the score 6-1. Kitimat again scored on a three-way passing play for their final goal of a disastrous evening, to make the count 82. Terrace scored three more before the game ended. Dewynter from Lewis, Michaud from Peacock and Hackman, and Hackman from Shinde to make the final score 11-2 for the Terrace All Stars, Sure Pohle can win POHLE LUMBER 7G &A6 Pohle Lumber won their second straight game in' the Commercial Hockey League last Thursday night, it was also their second win of the season. The game was a see- saw battle, and at times it seemed that neither team wanted to win. Gordon and Anderson were the first to dent the twine, Ken Klippert from Don Stark. Pohle Lumber got that one back two minutes later, Sev Piattoni fed Bob Cooper a pass at his own blueline, Cooper skated the rest of the way all by himself and scored a nice goal. Jim Gustafson put G & A up by one again before the riod ended, sweeping in rom the right boards, faking the goaltender out and slipping the disc in to an open net. Shortly after the second frame started Dale Kushner scored with his ‘team playing shorthanded, he let a shot go.from the corner that skipped by the goalie, Daryl Dewynter getting the assist. Gordon and Anderson. went one up again at the five minute mark, Don Stark was left uncovered in front of the Pohle cage, he wasted no time in making the score. 3-2 for G & A, Joha Lozier and Larry Balano assisting. Peter Nickerson and Don Lozier teamed up on a two on one break and Gordon and Anderson had a two goal lead. Bob Cooper drew Pohle within one goal again with less than four minutes left in the second, Dewynter assisting, the period ended 43 for G & A, Pohle Lumber went to work right away in the third, with only 58 seconds gone Piattoni scored on a pass from Dewynter, three minutes later Terry Marquart and Randy MacDonald broke away, two on one and Pohle had their. first lead of the game. After two straight wins, Pohle Lumber came out flat in the first game played in the Commercial Hockey League Monday night, and the Ford crew almost skated them aut of the rink to run up a 8-2 score against them. The line of Hackman, Shinde and Scatt were allowed to roam unmolested for the first five minutes of the game and put the puck into Pohle’s net three times in that time period and all three scored. Shinde from Hackman and Peacock was the first goal, Hackman from Shinde and Scott the second and Scott from Shinde made the count 3-0. Totem Ford’s second line got into the act with ‘eight. minutes one, Owen Greaves tipping ina hot shot from the point by Peacock . with Reno Michaud picking up the other assist. GMs beat depleted G&As McEWAN MOTORS1G & A 1 Gordon and Anderson showed up with only 9 layers for the second game onday night, and found out that it wasn’t enough as the McEwan Motors team took their measure 4-1. McEwan Motors scored their first marker at the midway point of the first frame, when a soft shot from the point found its way into the net, Bob Sewchuck, assisted by Hae Rowe and Frank O'Brien, and that was the score at the end of the rat. Rae Rowe scored the first goal of the second with a screened shot that never left the ice after taking passes from O’Brien and Ron Dickie.
