Terrace No.50i Junior Forest
Wardens tonight Wednesday,
September 13 at 7:30 p.m, at the
Thornhill School.

Parents or guardians must be
in attendance with boy or girl to
register Ages are 8 to 12 and 13
to 16. .

This year we are having
Forest Guards for girls in
Terrace. We hope to have a
good turn-out.

A sadder fact is thal, while
dentistry has developed new
methods ta control decay and
gum disease, neither the public
nor the dental prefession is
putting this knowledge to
thorough use.

Preventive dentistry. The:
patient should visit his dentist
twice yearly and faithfully do
the homework described. More
lime and concern is needed on
the part of the dentist who
should draw up individual
programs to protect the teeth of
each patient.

plicaled and irksome,
preventive dentistry in the long
run is less complex and less
costly and less painful and the
old repair - slanted dentistry.

Resistance is built into baby
and permanent teeth by the
application of topical fluorides,
through home brushing with a
fluoridated toothpaste and by
the twice yearly visits to a

entist.. The dentist gives the
eeth a thorough cleaning -
removing tartar - and a fluaride
solution is painted on. As soon
as a child has a full set of baby
teeth, when he is about three
years of age, his regular visits
to the dentist should begin.
