bee ae uel tole sient * -2- the City or turning right westbound towards the Lougheed Highway. The basic problem is that the north leg of the intersection has inadequate storage for left turn traffic to permit right turn movements to continue at all times. This can be corrected by widening the west side of Westwood +o create a right turn only lane. The decision to proceed with this work does not rest solely with City Council, however. Westwood Street is an {nter-municipa!l road and as such any capital improvements must receive the approval of both municipalities. The Public Works Committee requests Council approval in principle of this road widening. Should Council be supportive of this proposal it would be appropriate then to request "concept approval" from the Counci! for the District prior to . staff proceeding further. see Ahad TeMs Chong, P.
