Alderman Muldoon asked if the public would get an apportunity to comment on the design of the proposed library and Mayor Laking advised public meetings will be hela when a plan has been established. From the Acting Administrator, May Ist, 1981 regarding Sections 6 and 8 of the Livestock Protection Act. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That the City of Port Coquitlam advise the Provincial Government they wish to be included under the Provincial Government Statute respecting the control of vicious dogs as provided for under Sections 6 and 8 of the Provincial Government's Livestock Protection Act. Carried. Alderman Muldoon voted against the resolution. From the Acting Administrator, May 4th, 1981 regarding revised office hours. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Kervluk: That the City Hall and the Recreation Department office hours be 8:30 a.m. to 12:GO noon and from 1:00 p-m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; EFFECTIVE: Monday, May 11th, 1981 in the Administration, Recreation and Engineering offices; and, After the July tax deadline in the Treasury Department. Carried. Alderman Muldoon voted against the resolution. Alderiaan tiaboulay asked for clarification of the proposed new office hours and Mayor Laking advised the staff would be able to operate more efficiently when they had full staff working. Alderman Traboulay advised if there are complaints regarding the new office hours they could be reversed and Alderman Muldoon concurred adding that people should contact members of the Council if they have any concerns. NEW BUSINESS: Alderman Mabbett advised he attended the Fraser Valley Regional Library Board meeting and referred to a letter from Langley regarding a non~confidence motion regarding the Board and advised there was no substance to it and that the Board are dealing with the problems.
