Pinte et ALE oe nat m, May 3rd, 1976 Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam do not accept the challenge of the Council of the City of Port Moody issued to it and the Council of the District of Coquitlam as to which municipality will raise the most pledges for the May 16th, 1976 Kiwanis Club Walkathon; however, individual members of Council may participate in the event if they so desire. Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Keryluk commented that pledges received for participants in walkathons are the source of considerable funds for worthwhile causes, such as the one proposed, and he indicated his willingness to take part therein. From the Planning & Zoning Committee, April 30th, 1976, submitting a memorandum from the Approving Officer, April 14th, 1976, concerning minimum parcel widths in the RS-1 (One~Family Residential) zone, and recommending that Item 2(a) thereof, which reads as follows, be deleted: "(a) When the average frontage of the proposed parcels on any road in a subdivision is not less than 60 feet." Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That as recommended in a report from the Planning & Zoning Committee, April 30th, 1976, the following be adopted as an interim policy on frontage exemption until such time as the revised Zoning By-law has been officially adopted by Council: "The Approving Officer may recommend to Council exemptions from minimum parcel width requirements where the minimum lot size of 5,400 square feet is met and the frontage is not less than 50 feet."
