City of Port Coquitlam, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. V3C 2A8 Dear Sir: WATER SUPPLY TO LINCOLN/DEVON AREA We are writing to you to enquire whether it will be possible for the District to increase the amount of water drawn from the City Water System to serve the above area. It has come to our attention through the local newspaper that the City is considering upgrading of its water system in the Burns Road/Devon Road/Laurier Avenue area. The District is currently serving 10 houses on the north side of Lincoln via a 50mm galvanized main which is fed through a City meter at Freemont and Lincoln. The number of homes served by this main is limited by a resolution of Port Coquitiam City Council. The 5Omm galvanized main is deteriorating and is on our capital projects plan for replacement within the next five years. — With the replacement of this main, we hope to expand domestic service to all 22 parcels north of Lincoln, south of Debouville Slough and provide nominal fire protection. Could you advise if the City could consider lifting restrictions on water supplied to the District once your proposed improvements are in place and if so, what terms would apply to the service to the District. Yours truly, D.A. Kersey, A.Sc.T. . Senior Project Technologist She MC/1me
