Traboulay, Aldermen M.C, Farnworth, M.D. Gates, Jed. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, W.W. Stewart and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., City Treasurer J.G. Maitland, Director of Community Planning W.A. Brown, Fire Chief J.N. Boileau and Parks & Recreation Director KeJ. Taylor. ZONING PUBLIC HEARING: His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay advised the following proposed Bylaws to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning Bylaw, 1979, No. 1651" would now be considered: BL/01/86/03/24/01 Bylaw No. 2170: To rezone Lot 190, District Lot 290, Group One, Plan 32747, New Westminster District from RS=1 (Single Family Residential) to RS-1A (Single Famity Residential). This property is located at 2024 Langan Avenue and the proposed rezoning will permit the subdivision of the property Into two residential lots. No one was present to speak at the Public Hearing. BL/02/86/03/24/04 Bylaw No. 2171: To rezone Lot 6, District Lots 231 and 384, Group One, Plan 11613, New Westminster District from A-1 (Agricultural) to M-1 (Genera! industrial). This property is located at 1585 Broadway Avenue and the proposed rezoning will permit the construction of a multi-bay industrial building on the property. Letters were received from: Mr. Don Carss, 1644 Connaught Drive, Port Coquitlam, B.C. opposing the proposed change in zoning and advised noise level from Industrial could decrease value of homes. Mr. & Mrs. Dennis, 1614 Connaught Drive, Port Coquitlam, B.C. advised they are opposed to the Proposed rezoning, wants a greenbelt between Industrial and residential. J.E. Mitchinson, 1849 Mercer Place, Port Coquitlam, B.C. opposed to rezoning from Agricultural to Industrial, loss of existing farmland.
