Pollock City Administrator Re: Appointment of City Engineer eee kegs acy cea he Fee stntimennene ote oo oA dada MELE As the result of advertising for replacement for the City Engineer, I can report that 22 applications were received. Approximately eight of these applicants had Municipal experience and five of these were interviewed. I have selected for the position, Mr. Fred Peters, who is presently Traffic Engineer for the District of Surrey. Fred has his Master of Science Degree in Highway and Traffic Engineering and is a member of the Professional Engineers’ Association of B.C. He his been employed «rith Surrey for seven years, being principally involved in Traffic Engineering, but has also been associated with the Land Development Branch dealing with servicing of land and is presently involved as Project Manager for the $10,000,000. pre-servicing project that Surrey is undertaking in the Fleetwood/Guildford area, in conjunction with the Provincial Government. Fred comes highly recommended and I am sure that his qualifications and experience make him a suitable candidate. Fred is able to start on May lst, 1978 and I would therefore recommend to Council the appointment of Mr. Fred Peters, P.Eng., as City Engineer for the City of Port Coquitlam, commencing May Ist, 1978. on eee L.D.
