Pynenburg Project Technician LAURIER FLOODBOX UPGRADING - PRE-DESIGN REPORT -PUMPS That the Public Works Committee approve the cons‘ruction of a pump station at Laurier Floodbox to aleviate the flooding problems of adjacent p erties. Attached is a report for the pre-design of a pump station for the upgrading of Laurier Fleodbox. The pumps were selected based on a 1:10 year winter storm. Two submersible pumps are proposed, each with a capacity of 1.05 metres cubed per second and a TDH (Total Dynamic Head) of 3.6 metres. | _ Two discharge pipes and one submersible pump are recommended for Phase I and a second submersible pump to be installed for Phase I. Approvals and permits for this project will be required from BC Hydro, BC Tel, BC Environment and FREMP. cost for the proposed upgrading is estimated to be $270,000 for Phase I and $120,000 for Phase Il for a total program’ cost of $390,000 which includes 15% engineering and 10% contingency.
