Planning and Development Committee - October 12, 1994 RECOMMENDATION : That Provincial Agricultural Land Commisaion be advised that the City of Port Coquitlam support the proposed policy change to permit retail sales of agricultural products in the Agricultural Land Reserve BACKGROUND: The Planning Department received a request from the Provincial Agricultural Land Commission for comments on their proposed policy change to permit expanded retail sales of agricultural products produced in the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR). DISCUSSION s The Agricultural Land Commission is proposing to bring additional productive use of farmland by permitting retail sale of products produced on the land. Presently there are three types of agricultural product sales: 1.
