October 20th, 1986 /186 A regular meeting of the Municipal Council! of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Counci | Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall on Monday, October 20th, 1986 at 7:30 Poem. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M,C. Farnworth, M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, W.W. Stewart and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., Director of Community Planning W.A. Brown and Recording Secretary D.L. Vyse. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Alderman Wright advised on page 182 of the minutes the resolution regarding using Bylaw Enforcement Officers to advise cyclists to dismount when entering the Shaughnessy Street underpass sidewalk was moved by Alderman Wright and that Alderman Stewart voted against the resolution. Moved by Alderman Keryiuk: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the minutes of the Regular Counci | Meeting held on October’ 6th, 1986, be taken as corrected and adopted, ‘ Carried. DELEGATION: FD/01/86/10/20/01 His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Fire Prevention Captain Terry Clarke who was present to advise Miss Angie Connaghan, student of Lincoln Elementary School was selected as "Fire Chief for a Day". Mayor Traboulay then presented her with a plague commemorating the occasion. NP/02/86/ 10/20/02 His Worship Mayor L.M, Traboulay Introduced a representative from the Simon Fraser Home Support Association regarding "Homemaker/Home Support Week - October 19-25, 1986" and then Presented a proclamation declaring this week. PW/03/86/10/20/04 His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Mr. David Kynoch, 1635 Angelo Avenue and Mr. Norman Libby, 1651 Angelo Avenue, regarding the proposed opening of St. Michael! Street on to the Lougheed Highway and Mr. Kynoch then made a presentation to Council regarding the concern the neighbours have regarding the proposed opening of Angelo Avenue to the Lougheed Highway and presented a petition. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the concerns of the Angelo Avenue residents be referred to the Public Works Committee to meet with the residents and prepare a report to Counc! |.
