SUBJECT: Hockey School

- Recommendation:

upe That the McMeekan Hockey School be permitted to run from August

25th to August 30th, 1986, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in one
arena.

a Background & comments:

The McMeekan Hockey School held this year was successful. The
revenue produced during the three week period in 1985 was
$10,723. The revenue Produced was through the hockey school and
various minor organizations and commercial organizations renting
the ice. The cost to the City to put the ice in earlier was
$6,000. The $6,000 is comprised of electrical and gas costs. [It

is expected that we can again gencrate.a similar revenue as in
poo 1985, utilizing both arenas.
