THE CORPORATION OF THE CIFY QF PORT COQUITLAM MEMORANDUM Mayor and Council June 20th, 1980 ROM: Building & Protection Committee Report from the Building & Protection Committee Meeting held Tuesday, June 17th, 1980 IN ATTENDANCE: Alderman M.R. Wright Alderman P.F. Ranger’ Mayor G.R. Laking Alderman E.W. Mabbett F.E. Peters, P. Eng., City Engineer Re: Award of Contract fcr Dyke Pump Stations The Building & Protection Committee considered the recommendation which had been prepared by the Public Works Comittee and agrees that the contract should be awarded to Doyle Construction and that two additional pumps be purchased and included in the construction at this time. ‘The Conmittee recommends: 1. That the contract for construction of the two pumping stations be awarded to Doyle Construction Co. Ltd. at a tendered price of $294,870.00, less negotiated changes resulting from the deletion of the old pumping stations and the addition of two new pumps. 2... That the City purchase two additional pumps from Wilron Equipment Ltd. who were the low bidders on the City's initial order of two pumps. I would expect that “he Finance Committee will be preparing a report on the method of financing the additional cost. . Respectfully submitted, Le ane P.E. Déters, > Eng., City Engineer.
