ITEM IV Re: Lougheed Highway Widening - Median Landscaping Attached hereto please find a copy of a memorandum dated May 18th, 1977 from Parks Superintendent, a.copy of a letter dated May 26th, 1977 from the City Engineer, and a copy of a letter dated June 23rd, 1977 from the Project Engineer for the Lougheed Highway Widening Project. The Committee recommends that the median landscaping work be undertaken on the basis outlined in the correspondence and that the City assume responsibility for continued maintenance of the land- Scaped areas. ITEM V Re: Westwood Street Traffic Attached hereto please find a copy of a letter dated June 16th, 1977 from Mr. Ronald Wilson. The District of Coquitlam has advised that tenders will be received within a week for the agreed improvements to the Kingsway - Westwood intersection and that the work will be carried out this summer. It is felt that once these improvements are completed the thru traffic using Westwood north of Kingsway will decrease. The Committee recom- mends that no further action be taken until the results of the Kingsway - Westwood intersection improvements have been completed and we can see the effect of these improvements on the thru traffic situation on Westwood Street. Respectfully submitted, JA. doh vV.G. Borch, P. Eng., City Engineer.
