Present were, Alderman Laking, Alderman Traboulay, Lanson Lee, and L.D. Pollock, and the following items were discussed. i. Power-line Right-Of-Way -- B.C. Hydro Couneil may recall that in June of 1974, Council approved the granting of a Right- Of-Way to B.C. Hydro to permit the construction of a power~line in the vicinity of the Coquitlam River. A copy of the location is attached. Hydro have now completed the documentation of this Right-Of-Way and have forwarded to us a Draft Right-Of-Way Agreement and have offered the City the sum of $2,150.00 as compensation for the Right-Of-Way. The City would remain the owner of the land, however, the land would be subject to the Terms of the Agreement. The Land Sales Committee has reviewed the matter and feels that due to its location, the sum of $2,150.00 is adequat. compensation for this Right-Of-Way. The Committee recommends that Council accept this sum and enter into the Right~-Of-Way. Agreement with B.C. Hydro and Power Authority. ; "2. Park & Tilford Awards Every year Park & Tilford Distilleries present an award to buiiding projects in the Province that are distinctive from a point of view of design, landscaping er benefit to the community. In the past the City has submitted names of new projects constructed within the City and this year the Committee has suggested that the PoCo Valley Golf Club be submitted. Another possibility considered by the Committee was the City Recreation Center Complex on Wilson Avenue, provided that landscaping is completed toe enable us to submit photographs of the development. The deadline for submission of entries is July 15, 1975 and if Council members have any other names that they feel should be submitted, the Committee would welcome suggestions. 3.
