BY-LAW NO.

A By-law to reserve for park purposes certain real property owned by The
Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam. , .
WHEREAS the real property hereinafter more particularly described is .
owned by The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlan, ,
AND WHEREAS pursuant to Section 467 of the “Municipal Act" being Chapter
255 of the Revised Statutes of British Columbia, 1960, as amended, the Council
a city qunicipality may reserve for a particular municipal or other public purpose
any land owned by the municipality.
AND WHEREAS it is deered in the public interest to reserve the real propert:
hereinafter described as public parks.
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port
Coquitlam in open meeting assembled enacts as follows: :
i. The several parcels or groups of parcels of real property hereinafter described
which are owed by The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam and situate within
the municipal limits of the City of Port Coquitlam and in the New Westminster Land
Registration District are hereby dedicated as public parks:
McLean Park
(a) Lot "F", District Lot 466, Plan 4065 and Lots 1 and 2, Block 15, District
Lot 466, Plan 2423,
Wellington Park
(b) Lot 204, District Lot 479, Plan 37532.
Westwood Park
(c) Lot 6, District Lot 465, Plan 910 EXCEPT Part shown cn Sketches 8777 and 9729.
Sun Valley Park
(a) Lot 196A, Southeast Quarter Section 7, Township 40, Plan 36214,
Cedar Drive Park
(e) Lots 1 to 43 inclusive, Block N, Southeast Quarter Section 6, Township 40,

2. The real property described in Section 1 hereof shell be managed and
maintained by the Council for the us2, recreation and enjoyment of the public and the
Council has and may exercise therein all the powers and authorities conferred on the
Council with respect to public parks or pleasure grounds by the Municipal Act or other
Act of the Legislature or as is normally vested in trustees of public parks or pleasure
grounds and, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the said real property
may be used for the purposes set forth in Clause (a) of Subsection 1 of Section 621

of the Municipal Act.
