Naturally, our Committee suffers the slings and arrows of bad timing, poor

preparation, and poor conditions when they exist while all the time this work

_ ds. being carried out by the Public Works Department.

Recommendation:

That the Couneil direct Administration to meet further with the Heads

-of the Departments concerned and to return a report as early as possible regard~

ing steps to be taken to solve the previously mentioned problems. A report as

“to the feasibility of the formation of a separate Parks Department works crew

‘would also be of some value at the same time.

Footnote: If you feel that the problems mentioned do not in fact exist, I ‘would

suggest that representatives of many of the sports groups would be pleased to

assist. you in gathering information.
