Background and Comments: Upon reviewing the condition of the water services on Lobb Avenue, it has been identified that the condition of the services are in poor shape. Tha 1/2" services are 25 to 30 years old and show severe indications of corrosion. The off-setting costs of making the proposed changes now, would save the City of the longer tera. l. The water services would certainly be dug up in short order after completing Lobb Avenue resulting in a poor job initially and poor Public relations with local residents. For minimal costs now; the City can affordably repave the flush coated roadway which is in poor condition. Substantial savings will be made by reducing the area of boulevard restoration minimizing the impact on the local residents.
