V3C 2A8 Dear Mr. Freeman: Ke: Proposed Citadel Heights Bus Service BC Transit's 1990-91 Annual Service Plan, proposes to introduce the #169 Port Coquitlam Centre/New Westminster Station service, starting September 3, 1990. The #169 route will provide a weekday, peak hour service from Port Coquitlam Centre to New Westminster Station via Shaughnessy Street, Pitt River Road, Citadel Drive, Mary Hill Road, the Mary Hill By-Pass, direct to New Westminster SkyTrain Station. In order to ensure public input into the planning of the #169 route, a public participation process, is planned over the next 2-3 months. The public participation process, along with the political approval process for the #169 service will consist of the following steps: 1) Distribution of information brochures at community centres, schools, libraries, etc., within the catchment area of the #169 route. The brochure will describe the route and proposed schedule (early March 1990), Distribution of transit demand surveys to households within the general catchment area of the #169 route (early March 1990), Public Open House Meeting at Terry Fox Library, Thursday, March 22, 1990, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m; Public Open House will be advertised in local newspapers, information brochure and on survey. Analysis of public input, including survey results and comments received at the Public Open House, and finzlization of transit service (by mid-Mav 1990).
