SUBJECT: Information Meeting at "City Hall Park"

RECOMMENDATION:

That PoCo P.A.T. be permitted to use Aggie Park for their
public meeting on May 15th, 1982, between the hours of
9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

The attached letter was received on May Sth, 1982. Poco
P.A.T. wishes to hold a public assembly at "City Hall Park"
on May 15th, 1982. The Parks Control By Law states that the
distribution of literature in @ public park is not allowed
without written consent of the Council. (Please see attached
by-law.) The holding of a public meeting in a park must also
be authorized by Council. The Parks & Recreation Committee
do not view "City Hall Park" as an appropriate site for a
public meeting. The location for the public meeting at Aggie
Park will be outside the ball diamond area. It is my under-
standing that a representative will be in attendance to
answer any questions Council may have.
