Liberals on tour

FEDERAL LIBERAL MPs Lou Sekora (left) and Raymond Chan (right) met
Terrace mayor Jack Talstra amid a series of meetings here Thursday. The
Liberal caucus members also visited Prince Rupert, the Nass Valley and Kiti-
mat. Chan, Ottawa's secretary of state for Asia Pacific, said he gained a
great appreciation of the people, challenges and opportunities in the north-
west. Local politicians lobbied them about everything from Prince Rupert's
dream of a bridge to Digby Island to Terrace’'s multiplex and linear park.
