Duncan Smith Bemardo was born Sept. 21 at 8:13 p.m. al St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver. Proud parents Joseph Bernardo and Sharlein Smith Bemardo, both law- yers in Vancouver, are thrifled, while Giusappina Bemardo of Terrace is delighted to be a grandma for the first time. She was in Vancouver the day her grandson was born, along with Joe’s sister An- nina, Baby Duncan is the first ‘grandchild on both sides of ‘tbe family. Needless to say -he will get a lot of attention “and love. . Apparently Duncan's iparents are already making plans for his education, his grandma says. Patients can also stay at the hostel the night before minor oper- ations, During the last three years of operation the 5,500 users of the lodge have come from the Nass Valley, Wat- son Lake, Prince Rupert, the Queen Charlotte Islands, and Kemano.
