September 15th, 1980.

A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of

the City of Port Coquitlam was held itn the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam

City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on September
15th, 1980 at 7:30 p.m.

His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking, Aldermen M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk,
E.W. Mabbett, P.F. Ranger, L.M. Traboulay and M.R. Wright in attendance.

Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock,

City Engineer F.E£. Peters, P. Eng., Assistance City Engineer L. Melnechenko,

P. Eng., City Planner L. Lee, Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, Recreation
Director K.J. Taylor, Works & Utilitles Superintendent G.W. Ulmer and
Mrs. D.L. Vyse.

That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Couneil held on

September 8th, 1980 be taken as read and adopted.

DELEGATIONS:

His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking introduced Mrs, Kathleen Muldoon,
346 Laurter Avenue who then made a presentation to Counell regarding her
request to consider having Pore Coquitlam City Ceunell meetings changed
from Monday evening to Tuesday or Wednesday evening. Alderman Keryluk
referred to the publishing dates of the local newspapers and then
advised over the past few years he has only received two requeats Co
have Council consider moving the Counei) meeting to another evening and
atated in his opinion there would have to be a demonstration from the
Community regarding a need. Alderman Wright advised most munietpalities
have Council. meetings on Monday evening and stated this enables Counell
members to attend other community meetings which are held during the
week. Alderman Wright suggested that single sheet agendas be made

available outside Clty Hall xo the Public could piek up a copy during

the weekend, Alderman Gates atated he was not in favour of a change and

Alderman Traboulay stated in his opinion the request from Mrs. Muldoon
