COUNCIL DEC 13 1975 . December 10th, 1976, MEMORANDUM Mayor and Council L.D. Pollock City Administrator a M.S.A. Dental Contract We have received notification of new rates on the Dental Plan covering City employees. We are under Contract with Medical Services Association and they have forwarded a renewal rider covering the following rates: . Single Family Old Rate: $6.54 $16.50 New Rate: $7.86 $19.82 Increase is therefore $1.32 per month for a single individual or $3.32 per month for a family, of which the City picks up 50%. The Plan has been in operation since January of 1974 and the experience statement indicates that the operation of the Flan is still in a considerable deficit position, therefore the increased rates are necessary. Dental rates were reviewed recently when the Firemen's Contract was being discussed and the new rate appears to be in line with what other municipal groups are paying. a I wouid recommend that the Contract with Medical Services Association for Dental Coverage be renewed at the new rates. 2.
